Meet the Head

Maida Vale School opened its doors to Pupils for the first time in September 2020 and I am delighted to be its founding Headmaster.

I joined as Headmaster having previously been Deputy Head at Bethany School near Cranbrook in Kent, in the top 0.5% of Schools nationally for Pupil progress at A level with a strong focus on Pupil well-being and pastoral care. Previously, I was the Director of Leadership and Outreach at Felsted School during which time I was seconded to the Academies Enterprise Trust as Associate Head of Richmond Park Academy. I am also a trained ISI Inspector for both Compliance and Educational quality.

Maida Vale School is founded on clearly defined values and these inform everything we do:

  • We believe that each Pupil should be treated as an individual, inspired and motivated to allow them to fulfil their full potential.
  • We engender confidence and self-esteem, leading to intellectual risk taking and a love of learning.
  • We cultivate values of respect, compassion, tolerance and community responsibility in each pupil.
  • We pursue excellence in all areas of study and exploration.
  • We take a holistic approach, as we believe that there can be no artificial barriers between a Pupil’s intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual growth.

Our staff work in partnership with both Pupil and Parents to promote his/her success, well-being and happiness. A rich and broad curriculum delivered within a caring and nurturing environment produces confident and happy young people achieving excellent academic results.
